Brett Zach Talks Game 1 Double OT Win

Edmonton Oilers Take Game 1

Zach Scores in Double Overtime

Brett Zach talked about the Edmonton Oilers' 4-3 double overtime win in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night.

Zach scored the winning goal at 11:48 of the second overtime period, giving the Oilers a 1-0 lead in the series.

"It was a great feeling to get the win," Zach said. "We played hard and we never gave up. We knew it was going to be a tough game, but we found a way to win."

The Oilers were outshot by the Avalanche 41-29, but they made the most of their chances. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl each had a goal and an assist, and Zach Hyman also scored.

"We're a confident group," Zach said. "We know we can beat anyone. We're just going to take it one game at a time and see what happens."

Game 2 of the series is set for Saturday night in Edmonton.
